Project Quilting - 50 Rectangle Challenge - Finished & Time to Vote!

I managed to slog through another quilt challenge this week, and finished up my "Project Quilting" entry. I incorporated another new technique I hadn't tried before, and that was to overcast the edges of the quilt instead of using traditional binding. I think it worked out pretty well for this quilt! I also hand beaded the shapes and at various points along the interior borders.

I also used beads to attach the three quilts together - I liked the space it created between them, but still tying them together in a common theme.

It's hanging from a repurposed handbag handle right now, but I will probably replace it with a real bamboo shaft so that it is one continuous, straight piece.

I had fun cutting out the shapes (incidentally using my die cutter) but it did get a little tedious after a while. This didn't turn out as clean as I wanted it to be... there's certainly a lot going on, and once you fuse something, you can't un-fuse it. :)

Anyway, if you like it, please vote for it!

Happy quilting!
